The leading star of film promotes her film dedicatedly.
She was asked an absurd question in a media interaction recently while promoting 'Tumhari Sullu'.
The Journalist slightly taunted Vidya and called her fat.
The Journalist asked Vidya, whether she was planning to lose weight. After that he went on to justify the ridiculous question by trying to relate it to the actress doing women centric films.
He asked the actress if she is planning to continue doing women centric roles or she is ready to lose weight.
Vidya was confused by the question and asked further clarification from the journalist.
She asked him to clarify the correlation between getting thinner and doing women centric roles.
In reply the journalist embarrassed himself more by stating whether she is planning to do more glamourous mainstream roles by losing some extra kilos.
Then the actress gave a solid reply to the journalist which shut him up.
She said that she is very happy with her choice of films but a change of mindset of people like him would be welcome.
She has spoken about this issue in public before. She has explained that she doesn't strive for the superficial appearance that is glorified by the media.
She is comfortable in her own skin.
