The results of the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) exams for 2017 declared recently, stories of many people who have worked exceedingly hard to crack the Indian Civil Services are being brought to the forefront.

One such story reported was that of Manoj Singh Rawat, an ex-constable who quit his job to prepare for the UPSC exams.

Manoj Singh Rawat who hails from Rajasthan became police constable at the age of 19. He quit his job to prepare for the UPSC exams.

Apparently, during his preparation years, Manoj Singh Rawat was offered two other government jobs that he turned down.
