20 Photos That You'll Have To Look At Twice To Fully Understand
It was after 21 years of our marriage that my wife asked me to go out on a date with another woman. She loves me, she had said, but only that this another woman loves me beyond everything! And after a phenomenal date that I had with her, I could not have agreed more with my wife!
This other woman that my wife asked me to go on a date with was no one but my mother. My work life occupied me so much that I wasn't able to spare some time out for my lovely mom! But my wife did make me realize how important it was to connect with her.
So, I asked my mom to come on a date with me, just the two of us and no one else, to her favourite place. As I reached her home, she was ready with her beautiful coat on! She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel’s. “I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed, “she said, as she got into the car. Read on to know what happened next.
What a perfect dinner date that was! She was all smiles all through the night. Nothing extraordinary, but we caught up on all the recent things that were happening in our lives. After that, as arrived at her house later, she said, “I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.” I agreed.
When I reached home, my wife asked me about it and all I can say was, “Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,”
After a few days, my mom died of a massive heart attack. I almost got no time to do something for her. A few days later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.
An attached note said: “I paid this bill in advance. I wasn’t sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates – one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant to me. I love you, son.” Instantly, I understood the value of relationships and how we should always give time to our closed ways because these things can't be put off until "some other time"!
