We have often known whale to be one of the most dangerous mammals in the sea. This age-old myth was broken by this innocent mammal of The Cook Island in the South Pacific. His behavior towards human was mind-boggling and it will make you think twice about Whale to be a lifesaver or a life taker.
Nan Hauser is into Whale behavior study for 28 years. She knows the whale inside out. According to the behavior; whale is the protector of the sea from scary predators. But she never knew that it saves human life as well. Her, near death experience and whale coming to rescue, is almost like some melodramatic film climax.
While Nan was deep down in the ocean, a whale approached her and started to shove her. Nan was initially very confused as to what exactly was happening. First few seconds she thought that whale was trying to be playful but the increase nudging sent her into the panic mode. She thought that the whale was trying to attack her.
The whale was trying to push Nan out of the water. He was very persistent on moving Nan out with his fins. His one eye was on Nan but she was not able to figure out what message he was trying to convey. Nan thought that she was going to die but, the whale was adamant to save her from something very big.
While whale was busy shoving Nan away towards the boat, Nan feared death. But suddenly she realized that a dangerous predator, tiger shark was around. He was just trying to save Nan. Whale took Nan on his back and swam towards the boat. She was safely dropped near the boat.
Nan was relieved and utterly spellbound looking at the whale’s behavior towards humankind. This innocent mammal did his bit to save others. Hope people take an extra effort to save them from becoming an endangered species.
