But now, with Vijay Mallya no longer at the helm, the Bengaluru franchise has had a change of heart. It has decided to do away with cheergirls.
Instead of cheergirls, RCB will line up women and men dressed as Captain Henry Morgan, a Welsh privateer. Three among them will hold up banners on the podium with catch lines in Kannada, Hindi and English which they will encourage the crowd to read aloud. So RCB who strongly believe in equality gave chance to boys too for cheering and motivating the team.
