An creative initiative was taken by the multinational fast food chain, "McDonald's". They flipped their iconic golden arches upside down in order to honour womens on the International Women's Day.
"In celebration of women everywhere, and for the first time in our brand history, we flipped our iconic arches for International Women’s Day on March 8 in honor of the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere and especially in our restaurants." said McDonald's chief diversity officer Wendy Lewis.
The same flipped logo is used on their official Instagram and Twitter handles as well. Its Is for the first time that Mc Donald's have taken this initiative and people are hoping that its not for the last time.
They did it because most of their employes are females. Out of 10 branches 6 branches have women managers. Not just that but the website of the company is also running a campaign under which women employees of McDonald's have shared inspirational stories from their lives.
