Deepika was born in Copenhagen which is in Denmark and later on she moved to Bengaluru with her family when she was 11 months old. Deepika Padukone at the age of 17 left her career in Badminton and entered the glamour world which was probably her Ticket to Fame.

She became popular after she did the Lyril Orange ad by the splashy campaign which also launched Preity Zinta and Tara Sharma. Deepika had refused movie offers. At the age of 18 Deepika revealed that, "At the moment I'm really caught up with my exams and am not thinking of anything else".

Apart from Lyril she also did other ads like Limca, Close Up and many more.

Aishwarya was released in the year 2006, it was a Kannada movie starring Upendra, Daisy Bopanna and introducing Deepika Padukone. The movie was a commercial success and was among the top 5 hit films of 2006.

After her debut album Naam Hai Tera by Himesh Reshmmiya in the year 2006, Farah Khan spotted Deepika in this song, and decided to cast her in Om Shanti Om. According to our sources Farah Khan reportedly watched this song and decided to cast Deepika in the film.

Deepika Padukone gives a glimpse of her room when she was 12. Padukone Sisters were huge fan of the movie "Titanic" which released in 1997.

We can see posters of Leonardo and Kate Winslet from Titanic took up a major portion of the wall with the addition of Deepika's pic. Deepika also shared a picture of a newspaper cutting, in which Deepika and Anisha (then 7) posed in their favourite spots of the room.
