At Los Angeles Airport Deepika was called by Priyanka Chopra's name as she came out, however she did not respond to any of them and straight away she went to her car.
During the promotions of her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage, she was again called Priyanka'.

Deepika responded to this at the press conference for the Cannes Collection 2017 and said,“It’s not just me who should be offended but each one of you should also be offended because it’s not just ignorance but also racism. Two people of similar color are not the same people. So, you as fellow Indians should be calling them out and educating them. Instead of encouraging it, you should be educating them.”

This is not the first time that she got into a fight with the media. Deepika Padukone had worn a low cut dress designed by Anamika Khanna for the trailer launch of 'Chennai Express.' The TOI, reframed and retweeted the photo-story in which they described her cleavage.

When Deepika read the tweet, she lost her calm and gave the news portal a reply in a series of tweets.
