But Dangal turned out to be an exception. It not only made amazing money but well also created tons of other collection related records on its way.
Movie had an amazing overall weekend for itself. It made around 104.25 crore net approx and showed an impressive 20% growth on Sunday. The week between Christmas and New Years is expected to be equally profitable for the movie.
The Tamil version of the movie is holding good but the collection of the Telegu version is quite dismal. Demonetization effect can be seen here. But more importantly, it shattered a national record on this weekend.

Also, on the 4th day, the movie collected Rs 25.48 crores. But despite setting a national record it was still not the highest collection ever in Mumbai. It failed to beat the collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ that had garnered 105.55 crores approximately.
